CVSA Roadcheck scheduled for June 5,6,7 make sure you and your equipment are ready.

A week before and a week after as well. Some states run different schedules. :lol: Their State budget isn't as strong as others. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Actually, I witnessed something like this going on in Pennsylvania on Hwy 90 at the PA/NY border just over a week ago. ....so you never know. Best to always be ship shape if possible.

I know right now I have two trailer tires that would flunk. They wear to a point, then they start to go fast. I have one that wore bald in spots in just a couple thousand miles. Had one trailer light out. That is easy to fix. My coloring book is always running out of gray crayons...but I never leave that get too far away from marginally shady.

And bring the VASOLINE since normally the DOT does not have any to use. LOL :D :D :lol:

Noobie question: Since I got a level I a few weeks ago, by CVSA, and have a sticker with a 7 on it (good for 90 days... is that what the 7 means?) .... does that mean I don't have to worry about this "blitz?"

They might not bother you,but you will not be able to count on it.
The 7 stands for the year 07and fi you notice the top 2 corners are perferated(sp)so that they can tell what time of the year it was inspected,after I get one I usually tear the other corner off when the time arrives.

Good point to make is that regardless of the Blitz...you can get these Inspections at any time.

Vehicles displaying a valid CVSA decal generally will not be subject to re-inspection. Not to make this sinister...but you can not count on feeling safe with this decal.

They can give you a Level IV....hahahahaha :lol:

Most cases, and at all other times of the year...you are relatively "safe" :roll: for the next 90 days. But during Blitz....all bets are off. They can conduct an Inspection on "test cases" quite like yourself.... :shock: maybe random...but notice the timing involved.... :shock:

....okay...maybe I do want to make this sinister. :? :)

They have to make a certain number of Industry Standards checks and verify results. These examinations are normally made in support of a study or to verify or refute a suspected trend.

Just do not give them eye contact when you roll through the Blitz. Take that guilty look off your face...and relax....they can smell fear. If they appear to be looking close at one particular item on your rig...be prepared to assume the position...or BOLT.

LOL!!! This is funny. I rolled through the premature 72-hour deal in Tennessee a couple weeks ago (same week PA ran its deal too early.) I made eye contact with one of the 40,000 DOT cops standing around, and I felt like a deer trapped in headlights. I felt so lucky I got the "TO I-81" sign. What? Does that really say that?

(Although I've been crawling through my truck for awhile now, and have found a laundry list of stuff, and gotten the truck owner to fix it. I treat every day as a 72-hour blitz when I cross the Super Coops five times a week. I've heard lots of stories about that place, and I try to keep all my crap as immaculately perfect as I can possibly manage.

I try to cross the scales with a confident smile on my face too. :) )

why does everbody worry about these things if your "good togo" you have nothing to worry about

Simple during the Blitz it is not a matter of if but when they crawl all over your truck with a microscope. Alot of times they keep looking till they find something also.
