When I was sent to Class "A"School in the service i packed up my car 1975 Toyato Corrola, full. Back seat full to the roof and back window, Trunk was full and the passenger seat just enough room that I could see out of the passenger window. Still wondering how I ended up with so much stuff in a Bunk, and stand up locker onboard Ship.

I don't know about Roadhog, but I remember it. And all the demonstrations against the war in Viet Nam. Flag burnings. And other things not mentioned here. In CA, at Treasure Island, I was restricted to base for two weeks because I got a ride back to the main gate on the back of a chopper.... Hell's Angel doing the driving and five more for escorts. Base commander might not have said much, but I was in uniform, and he was just leaving the base as we arrived. He could not ignore it. He just did not think that it was "appropriate" for the uniform. I've often wondered if I embarrassed him... His face was red when he was lecturing me about it, and he had an extremely hard time trying to smile. Even chipped a tooth when he gritted his teeth, and then his face got even more red.

AAAaahhhhhhh...................... Those were the days.

It also reminds me of the time I crammed my 1987 Olds Callais full of plywood, 1x2s, etc. I had so much lumber jammed into that car that I had to unhinge the seat and ride with my forehead touching the windshield.

I made the turn up my street, and there was a roadblock. They do that a lot over here. Random roadside checks of cars. If you make a sudden move to go another way, they just come after you, so I knew I had to carry on and go through.

I rolled up to the roadblock, somehow fished out my license and registration, and presented them to the officer. "You aren't going far with that, I hope?" "No ma'am." "Get the hell out of here!"
