XM for slip seaters
 

For all you slip seaters out there, do any of you have XM? I'm wondering what's the best setup without having to mess with long antenna cords and mounts everyday. Does XM make a reciever that has a built in antenna? Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have Sirius, and I take it out, put it in every day. I have those suckers on mine, and it's on my windshield, just above the dash. I run my power cord across the dash, down to the lighter plug. I keep most of the antenna cord in a bundle, and I keep it tidy in between the radio receiver, and the dash. I have my mushroom antenna on the left corner of the dash. Works fine. If I think about it, I will take a picture of it with my phone when I get ready to head out tomorrow. Or, later this evening. :shock:

I've got the XM roady2 Works great and its not hard at all to get in and out of the truck. I switch trucks almost every day when I'm driving.

Go to Ebay! The Roady 2 are down to less than 40 bucks right now.

I have a rody xt I put the ant. on pass. side mirror and run wire in the vent window and across the dash then I put the unit in one of the cup holders. at the end of the day I put it back in my P/U

I use the Pioneer Inno. I use the portable antenna instead of the car antenna (the cord is much shorter and easier to pack and unpack) I use a small suction cup and put the antenna at the top on the windshield and plug in the AC power and use headphones to listen.

Before that I used the MYFI, it was also portable but it was bigger and took more time to get everything hooked up and unpacked.

I can carry the Inno in my pocket and takes about a whole 20 seconds to have everything in place and plugged in.

most of the magnetic antennas ( XM and Sirius both) work fine if you just lay them on the dash, so just get a suction cup mount and you are in business. they are about 10 bucks on ebay
