Texas Twisters
Well, I have the weather bug on my laptop, and it chirps, moos, and stuff when the weather is acting up. Needless to say, it's sounds like a zoo here. :P
Yall that are running, or gonna be running in north/west Texas over the weekend, be careful. Storms are brewing up throughout north central/west Texas. Quite a few regions are under tornado watches. I've never understood why they have watches, and warnings. To me, they are the same thing. Sooner or later, ya better find a hole to jump in. :P Hopefully, it wont be too bad for the areas that might get hit. Yall be careful if yall run this way over the weekend. |

AiiiEEEeeeeeee Carumba...mi Amigo!! WELLLL...now ya tell me! :P....I am holed up now in Oklahomo City  Just came through Amarillah on Hwy 40...and I've had enough for one day. I was gonna press on...up Hwy 35...but there are wrecks everywhere. It was bad enough on the open road...but now with people merging...they are all looking for trees to hit...and there are having a hard time finding any trees here...so they are hitting each other instead. I shoulda figured bad weather was ahead...when I saw these clouds earlier. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...c27d83f71d.gif http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l236/Leland10/nw.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...10/4954497.gif I don't mind too much. I covered 540 miles...so this is an easy day for me, and I'll fool around here on the net...and watch some tube. The weather is gonna do what it's gonna do. It was 30 degrees back in Albuquerque, and it started to snow when I left there. Before I go...I gotta say...http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l236/Leland10/5-1.gif lotta road construction on Hwy 40. I guess some days it's okay...but give these 4-wheelers a little rain...or any thing...and they feel it is their duty to wreck...and tie up that one lousy lane of traffic for miles. Shoulda went north on 70 or 80... I miss the WINTER already. Easier fighting Mother Nature. :) |

Weatherbug is cool to have, but watch out, I used to get virus' all the time with it and other people who have had it have gotten them too. It only works properly if you have an always on internet connection. If your on dial-up, it won't be of much help.
Too funny of a cloud pic roadie. Sad to hear that a lot of the twisters are dropping down and people are getting any type of warning. Heard a woman this moring saying that her house was gone and that when the twister hit, the town sirens were all quiet. Now I know some people aren't very good at reading the weather with their own eyes, but you can usually tell when something is amiss with a storm. Anytime during the spring/summer that I get into a storm, I start paying real close attention to what is going on. Wind is swirling around heavy, ok time to go hide. |

Yeah...weatherbugs...I have them on my cell phone too. I don't use it much...cuz you have to enter the zip code of where you are to see the local forecast. I do have a list of zip codes...but...I mean...hell...I don't care. :P :? :) WELLLL...a little. Right now it is raining so hard I can't see but 100 feet...and the wind is rocking my Rig...but Nice Free Tractor/Trailer Wash. Some Flatty just drove past honking his horn alot. Freaked me out! I started looking everywhere for a funnel. He just musta been drunk. :? :) Well...guess I'll put on my dirty cloths, and do my laundry on my way up to the Resturant. |
Yeah, Mr. Ford, it's cool. I have had weatherbug for a couple of years now, and I like it. I have heard of people getting viruses, and spyware, but actually, I havent had any trouble with mine.
