Lead singer of Boston has died!

Brad Delp, the incredible voice behind Boston's songs, passed away at his home today (only 55 yrs old)

I'm not a big FM radio / music guy, but I'll ALWAYS tune in & turn up when I hear Brad's haunting vocals....

So very sorry to hear that. Boston was a really awesome group. After their first album was released, I was sure that they would go on to dominate the charts for years to come. He and Tommy Scholz were geniuses.

Brad Delp was an awesome singer.

RIP Brad!! Never thought you were "Gonna Hitch A Ride" this soon!!

To those of us who partied many a nights to your sound, (I can almost smell the aroma that filled the many living rooms where I "crashed"!!!!!)

You were always "More Than a Feeling" to us, and you always will be!!

GodSpeed!!

 I'm shocked and saddened by Brad's passing. Boston was one of my favorite groups back in the 70s and I was rocking down to their ballad Amanda just several days ago. Now I know why my favorite classic rock station was playing so many Boston songs late yesterday. Rest in peace, Brad. You brought so much joy to so many people.

I'm 55...and it makes you stop and think.
My condolances to all family and friends...that is too young and unexpected.

I play guitar, and picked up by ear, parts of "Hitch a Ride."

Hitch a Ride HERE

Never found sheet music on this, or learned the whole song...but it is my favorite.
Tom Scholz kinda pioneered that "power soaked" lead guitar sound.
I can't copy Tom ofcourse....but I still love that song a lot.

My other listening favorites are;

Peace of Mind
Don't Look Back
Feels Like The First Time
Amanda
Smokin'
Can't Fight This Feeling
Rock & Roll Band

It's been awhile since I heard those songs...sure brings back some memories.

Can't say Boston was among my personal favorites, but I always liked their hits. RIP, Brad.
