J B HUNT ???

I saw a JB Hunt tractor pulling a tri axle dump trailer around my way in PA. I think i may be seeing the same one but i think they have more then 1. Why is JB pulling dump trailers this was a day cab.

Ever since Mr. Johnny B. Hunt died, part of J.B. Hunt's business has been in the dumps!!
:oops:

Probably because they see a decent opportunity to make money.

J. B. Hunt will get involved in any aspect of this business if they feel that they can make a profit.

Go back and read the O.P.'s question; it was about a JB Hunt daycab pulling a tri-axle DUMP trailer!!
:wink:

As long as J.B. does not start hauling cars I will be fine. :wink:

I've seen that one at the water gap. My immediate reaction was;
WTF?

Cluggy619 03-11-2007 05:32 AM

Let me know when they start pulling tankers.

Back before JB sold the flatbed division they had, one of their drivers went under an overpass in Detroit with a load of pallets. After the traffic behind him got done, there were a few pieces that could be recognized as pallets, but most of it looked like someone scattered a "vast array of tooth-picks". Somehow, I really don't think they are ready to deliver any "impromptu convertibles".

You haul cars? How do you like it? Must be a fun job when the weather is good, but a bitch when the weather sucks eh?

continental 03-18-2007 01:27 AM

Impromptu convertible? How eloquent!
I love it. Don't anybody tell me truckers are dumb! :lol:

Then you are in trouble J.B Hunt has been pulling cars namely conversion vans for Mark III conversions for about 10 years I think. They have a fleet of trailers that they use to pull them from the factory in FL to the large mixing yards all over the US.

I took his post to mean that he hauled cars and didn't want JB Hunt getting into that and providing more competition. My mistake.
