Actually.... Lake Baikal in southern Siberia, Russia is the largest fresh water lake in the world...but its too damn cold to visit either place this time of year.

Would you care to host a 4th of July party some WARM sunny day?!?

Jackrabbit379 02-01-2007 03:19 AM

Just yankin your chain a little yoopr...sorry!! But wiki also says Baikal is the the largest by volume(and contains more H2O than ALL the little lakes up there COMBINED!)...so you should have been more specific!!! :P

Yeah, I've been there in July...balmy compared to today...but nowhere near Miami level!!!! Still can be nice enough for a picnic. Had a friend up in Laurium a while back.

I remember the 52's flyin low as they came in across the lake one time! Lovely area...would move up there mesef but it costs too much!

Stay inside and throw another log on the fire would ya??

Actually our cost of living is very low
We've had snow in July(and every other month of the year at one time or another).
area by Laurium and north of it gets more snow than any place in the U.S other than the Rockies.
You should take a drive north of there where they have the Snow Ruler north of Mohawk.

Gonna be burning wood non-stop for starting Saturday-Hope I have enough and I'm not going to be lingering outside the house for too long.

This isn't specific enough?

Cost of living was not that to which I was referring....I meant cost to ME!
Will have to check out that snow ruler somtime.

Don't get your feathers in a bunch...Superior is actually my personal favourite anyway...I just hand to yank you a bit, that's all. But you were not specific as to which of those two criteria you were using....I just begged to differ...but always in a friendly manner....
