Nasco superhighway

I havent heard anything here about the planned Nasco Superhighway here...suprising seen that it is planned to be 16 lanes clear through the US from mexico into canada wich will carry primarily freight= big trucks and foreign drivers.
http://www.nascocorridor.com/
Inland ports on sovereign foreign territory inside the US. massive claims of emminent domain

Also look at efforts to set up a 'North american Union' (NAU) modeled after the EU (European Union)
http://www.cfr.org/publication/8102/

Any thoughts??

It has been discussed here. It's all part of a plan to transform us into The United states Of Mexico

That's what some people from Texas think they're going to do but they forgot to ask us if we want anything to do with it.

They can take that one sided so called free trade deal a stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

GW and co seems to have lots of plans but nobody else is going to have anything to do with them.

Didn't they try that before with the "Pan Am Highway"?? 8)

I know I wont be one of the drivers on a 16 lane highway full of tolls, at 68 mph, 7 ft from the next trucks bumper...one slip up and we have a huge pile-up.

There are so many rumors and urban legends on this story. In fact too many to list. Conspiracy theorists are going crazy....buy stock in aluminum foil companies before they start making their hats!

Personally, by reading their website, it sounds like a great idea.
And by the way, there is NO big 16 lane "super highway" being built or even planned to be built. This plan would use existing highways that are already built.

Hope this comes true-Sure would be nice to have a decent highway up here :P

That SEEMS to be the "legacy" of this entire two term administration!! Unfortunately, it took SIX long years for even a FEW Republicans to finally get a CLUE!!!

If the NASCO superhighway goes the way of the "private war" against Iraq that Bush embarked on.... There will be AMPLE funding, which will be WASTED on private "no-bid" contracts, and NOTHING will be accomplished!

So, the GOOD NEWS is.... we don't have to worry about being invaded by incompetent Mexican drivers taking our jobs.... but, we'll STILL have to PAY FOR IT!!!

UNLESS.... of course.... you are in the top 10% income bracket! In which case, you will get a TAX BREAK for doing NOTHING more than voting Republican!!!

And the REST of us will pay for something we will NEVER SEE!!

wrong-It's not a government subsidized road-It will be private company IF it's even built.
