I need help !!!
Trucking family in desperate times. I need someone to contact for help with my light bill and truck payment for this month. We have fallen so far behind from (Big Truck) repairs and the company my husband is leased to, put a lein on his truck until we repay $12,000.00 They put him on an allowance of $300.00 a week, this barely covers groceries at home and running money for him on the road. I am registered with an employment agency, but have not gotten a job yet. Our lights were scheduled to be turned off 11/13th but they have not come out yet. Our truck payment is past due now also. Any kind of assistance would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. - I have contacted all the churches in our area, but none of them have funds available at this time. |
As much as I'd like to help, I can't give out free money on the web. I hope everything goes well, although you didn't say why you are 12000 in the hole. Its one thing for life to take a dump, and quite another for me to finace a gambling debt or something, ya know?
DEfinitely get on unemployment if you qualify. Programs like that are there to get people back on their feet. best of wishes. |
Contact your local state welfare agency. Another contact would be the United Way.
I'm pretty sure they can't turn off the electric during the colder months. The agencies above can answer that for you. |
I don't understand why you would hang on to the truck? :? Why not let it go, have him get a company gig, and get back on your feet. Having your own truck is not required to be a truck driver.

What they really mean is....We are fat and lazy, and want you to feel sorry for us and give us money...SCAM!
Geez, its amazing what people will do to avoid working... |

We purchased the truck from Select Trucks out of Grand Rapids, MI. The payments are very high and we have struggled since 2003 to make payments of $1,783.00 per month. It will be paid off in February 2007, so we don't have much longer to go. We have just had alot of repairs at one time, they say when it rains it pours. Thanks for asking.

vipkelly Sorry to hear you've fallen on hard times. I recommend that you contact whoever you have the truck financed with and ask them to hold off on recieving thier payment for a couple of months.
If you've have a good payment history with them it shouldn't be a problem, but you might have to pay extra interest on the loan, just be up front with them. They don't want your truck, and it sounds like your pretty close to paying it off anyway. I speak from experience. I had to do this a few years ago when I had major problems with my truck. |
