This is sad.
I shut my rig down 80% of the time. I am always keeping windows and/or vents cracked open for ventilation...no matter what time of the year. But I am like this even at home. I seem to always want fresh air. Summer/winter...no matter. I even park in such a way to take advantage of prevailing winds...if I have the luxury....or far away from other trucks, because of exhaust. That is getting tougher...now you are lucky most of the time to even find a spot to park.
I idle if I am just making a brief stop, or during my early break hours when I do my paperwork, eat a meal, watch TV, go online, etc. But when it comes time to hit the rack...I shut down, crack the windows and don ear plugs.
I guess it is wise to buy a CM alarm. Would be nice if manufacturers would build these in as standard equipment. Why don't they?...and powered by the vehicle's own power system...instead of 9v batteries.
