Short Route vs. Practical Route Mileage Pay

Which would you like to be paid on?

solo379 08-19-2005 11:48 AM

Common, Bluebeetle!
You might as well ask, would you like to be paid more, or less!

Well what I should REALLY say is this......

Crete Carrier/Shaffer Trucking/Hunt Transportation beginning October 1, 2005 will be paying drivers based on practical miles!

This isn't fake....This isn't a recruiter telling stories....IT'S HAPPENING!!! IT WILL RESULT IN US HAVING THE BEST PAY PACKAGE IN THE INDUSTRY!

NOW WE HAVE THE BEST MILES! THE BEST PAY! THE BEST BENEFITS PACKAGE!

:D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

But what is it going to be based on?

Actual hub miles as reported by the driver

Some type of mapping software?

Or other?

I believe he refers to PC-Miler practical, which is in a most cases, real close to odometr, and sometimes, if you know the area, even less!

Gee, I've heard the same song from a USA Truck recruit person.

Let's put it simply. Pay the driver the ACTUAL MILES at a fair and decent wage with respectable home time and all the trucking industry employment woes will be solved. How hard can it be????
