CAD is generating more traffic now than it was all of last year. I guess those who claimed that the board changeover at the end of October would kill CAD were wrong. I won't even go into the claims that were made at the end of November.
Thank you to each and every one of you for making ClassADrivers the place it is today.

Oh for the love of God.... don't pound your chest too hard.
If any increase in traffic, I'm sure it has more to do with people from neighboring sites wondering about what happened with Twilight Flyer.
You can laugh all you want, but most of us are grounded on truth. The results you are claiming are mis-leading the CAD members.
Comparing CAD to Truck.net and TheTruckersReport.com ........CAD comes in last. That's right 3rd out of 3.
Add a few more sites to that comparison, and CAD falls even further.
What you posted was the ONLY analysis showing CAD no.1
and that catagory is Unique Visitors per Month. .....you know..FBI, FCC, Mossad, NSA, KGB, LGBT and possibly some Aliens.
Rank Monthly .....................CAD 3rd place out of 3.
Visits Monthly.....................CAD 2nd out of 3.
Average Stay Monthly......CAD 3rd out of 3.
Pages per visit.....................CAD 3rd out of 3.
Velocity Daily (Growth) ...CAD horribly 3rd out of 3.
....But this isn't what you should be focusing on. Sorry you brought it up. :hellno:

That's the neat thing about "I'm leaving" threads. The people posting them rarely do.Originally Posted by Roadhog

At the same time, CAD seems to be slipping right along with the economy. Not nearly as many jokes in the comedy section. Number of posts seems to have been reduced considerably. It used to be something I had to visit every day in order to try to keep up. Today, it seems like I can visit once a week and only have to spend 5 minutes to catch up to things. I know that Slimland has his hands full at home, and in his situation, I would not be spending a lot of time here either, but where did the "BLUE STAR DAD" go (FOZZY), and some of the others? If this is No. 1, the rest must be dying off. I do not see the activity on here that I seem to remember a year ago. To the point that I may be losing interest myself. I don't get on here as much anymore because there is not that much going on anymore.

Thanks... Just keep in mind, your day is coming too. As you gain experience, you will have things to pass on to other new drivers as well. Maybe you'll learn things I don't know about.Originally Posted by dobry4u

1. There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.
2. McDonalds sells the most hamburgers, but nobody claims it offers the best dining experience

I started out on Layover but got a little tired with the same 4 posters everyday.
I then heard about CAD and was impressed with the number of participants and found the level of discourse to be about what I'd learned to expect from real life Driving. (I've been coming here for 4 years under 3 or 4 different logins but never more than one at a time.)
Then came the auto-bannings. Someone mentioned it had something to do with Flying J wifi and I was a frequent user of same. I got tired of it and went away.
I drifted over to truckersreport. With all due respect to a lot of former and current CAD posters, to me, tr is the internet version of truck stop cb talk. The lows way outnumber the highs. During my recent hiatus from CAD, I did look there to read the discussion about the massacre in Millington. The site is better than when I first visited and I was glad to see that. It couldn't have gotten any worse.
I drop in on headborg's site e v e r y now and then and there are a few others, all referenced in one way or another back to CAD.
The single recurring theme among all the sites is they all have threads about CAD and how the Rev is taking CAD down. I didn't say unanimous, I said recurring. I find it interesting there is alot of talk about CAD away from here by people who would prefer to be here were it not for the Rev.
Taking on and taking issue with BigD was part of the fun of visiting CAD. Even CFM, v1, 2, 3, etc is funny. Of course he's obsessed but it was always funny to see how others responded to him. Banning golfhobo or even the thought of it would be a blow to the soul of CAD. Banning me without so much as a word of warning was cowardly. I've seen you justify bannings before with "he was warned" so now I also question your credibility. If you keep banning people either because you or anyone else doesn't like them, it's only a matter of time until there'll be noone left. I don't like (some of) the fat, filthy dregs of humanity I run into on a regular basis. If I want them out of my life I'll have to change jobs, won't I?
The next time someone complains, show them the delete button.
I take no issue with your hallway monitor approach to profanity. It seems absurd in our society in general and in the world of trucking in particular but if you want to play let's pretend, that's OK. How about a system of credits? Say 20 utterances a month? Those who would insist on profanity would be forced to choose their words wisely. Those who wouldn't use profanity could sell or trade their credits to the others.
I know. You don't make the rules. Your job is simply to selectively enforce them.
Two statisticians go hunting. They spot a deer and shoot simultaneously, one missing wide left and the other missing wide right. They turn to each other, flub a high five and yell "Bullseye!"
Numbers is numbers.
