Charlotte North Carolina – On July 8th and 9th Red Classic will partner with Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated and McMahon Truck Centers to bring the Truckers Against Trafficking Freedom Drivers Project (FDP) to Charlotte. The FDP is a first-of-its-kind mobile exhibit that is a premiere tool in educating members of the trucking industry and general public about the realities of domestic sex trafficking and how the trucking industry is combating it.
The mission of Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) is to educate equip empower and mobilize members of the trucking and travel plaza industry to combat domestic sex trafficking. Truckers Against Trafficking recognizes that members of the trucking industry are invaluable in the fight against this heinous crime. As the eyes and ears of our nation’s highways truck drivers are in a unique position to make a difference and close loopholes to traffickers who seek to exploit our transportation system for their personal gain.
Viewers can walk through the exhibit to see artifacts from trafficking survivors videos of drivers supporting the cause to end human trafficking and portraits of actual Truckers Against Trafficking.
Events like these are why we created the Freedom Drivers Project” stated Kendis Paris TAT executive director. “It will be a perfect audience of people who have extensive reach throughout the trucking industry coming to terms with the realities of domestic sex trafficking and the role they can play in combating it. We’re thrilled they invited us grateful they marshaled their resources to bring us out to North Carolina and hopeful that this is the beginning of a longlasting and fruitful partnership in helping to break the back of modern-day slavery.

The tour will stop at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated and Red Classic Corporate on Wednesday July 8th then travel to Red Classic Fleet and Coca-Cola Co. Consolidated Snyder Production Center (SPC) on Thursday July 9th .
