LANGHORNE PA…  Mawson and Mawson one of the nation’ s oldest carriers (MC ICC #76) is proud to offer employment opportunities to our nation’s veterans.  Mawson is hiring veterans with a military transportation background and will train them to do flatbed work. 

Charles ‘Sarge’ McNaughton has been driving for Mawson and Mawson for the past 3 years. Prior to joining the company Sarge served 11 years active duty in the U.S. Army along with 25 years in the National Guard and Army Reserve. He was a Motor Sergeant Maintenance Supervisor Truck Driver and Instructor Retired from the PA National Guard.

Sarge says the instruction he received in the Army was very interesting; and the transition from military to civilian hauling was a smooth one. He already had experience with chains and binders but just needed to apply his training to steel coils and other products.

After driving for three years he is now a trainer as well as a driver at Mawson and Mawson. Chuck McNaughton likes the change of pace and meeting new drivers. After a driver has completed his training Sarge makes himself available for future help or advice.  Mawson and Mawson Inc. takes great pride in offering an opportunity to veterans when they return home from serving our country.  Sarge was given a chance when others turned him away. He took that chance and turned it into a career he is proud of.  McNaughton says “If you want to drive for a good company we’re here. It’s been great for me so come on over.”
