Worcester Wreath Company of Harrington, Maine, started the Arlington Wreath Project in 1991 after it had an excess of wreathes nearing the holiday season and arrangements were made for the wreaths to be placed at Arlington National Cemetery. Worcester Wreath Company continued to donate 5,000 wreaths every year. Wreaths Across America was born in 2005 after a photo from the Arlington Wreath Project spread around the Internet. By 2006 the wreaths were placed in over 150 cemeteries and today, with the help of
