In 1982 Bob Sturgeon started Sturgeon Truck Lines with 10 trucks and later bought Barr-Nunn Transportation and merged the two companies. Barr-Nunn's fleet includes over 500 trucks and 1700 trailers. With terminals in Charlotte, North Carolina, Manchester, Pennsylvania, Columbus Ohio and headquarters in Granger, Iowa, Barr-Nunn services the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast regions of the country.
