Transportation to Open New
Driver Terminal in Columbus, OH
Barr-Nunn Transportation has announced the upcoming opening of their newest driver terminal, located in Columbus, Ohio. The terminal, which is the company's fourth, is meant to provide Barr-Nunn with a physical presence in the Midwest, giving them a base of operations for recruiting and training new employees and contractors as well as for making old ones feel at ease. The terminal, which will open later this month, will serve mainly as an orientation facility with an additional lounge area scheduled to open in 2011. Barr-Nunn's other terminals are located in Iowa, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
Asked what they attribute their expansion and success to, Barr-Nunn is quick to praise their employees and contractors. Now in their 28th year of service, they are more insistent than ever that a trucking company is only as good as their treatment of their drivers. Because of this belief, Barr-Nunn has made a name for itself as one of the best-managed truckload carriers in the country, offering their staff innovative pay and benefits packages and thus guaranteeing their customers timely and conscientious shipping services.
