i've heard of that stretch of highway. at least the swift driver isn't the only one who had issues handling that piece of road. check out the other videos of drivers having a difficult time with it.

Trust me he actually did a dang fine job, I like the beginning where he was wiping out the pylons. There are plenty of pictures on the websitehttp://www.tailofthedragon.com/dragon_trucks.htmlof other trucks that got into more trouble.

i mistook your original post as sarcasm. i apologize. i'd never been on it before and i'm sure it's a matter of time. glad i saw this video. now i know what i'm in for when i do actually have to navigate that twisty mess. i thought the drive along us95 between lewiston, idaho and i-84 was bad. it's nothing compared to that!

I have to say he did a damn good job. I can see where some crazy BBR would be flying through that taking out all kinds of things, and that was a triaxle trailer if anyone else didn't notice!

I've run that stretch of road before, and several others which were comparable. Swift is hardly the worst offender for it, by any means. I've seen all sorts of trucks get tangled up on that road, including the "elite" of Landstar.
What's even worse is that enforcers of the road (by that, I mean the North Carolina and Tennessee Hiway Patrols) are the absolute worst offenders when it comes to traffic violations on that road. I always see them speeding through there, riding the center line, or entirely in the opposing lane, etc., and they're not trying to get a 70 ft long vehicle through there.

Yeah I posted my opinion about WV on other forum, love that state beautiful, but I tell you what they should have done a TV show Coal bucket truckers instead of ICE ROAD TRUCKERS. Even though I have driven alot on the sideroads in WV and know my way around those guys driving dumps make me look like a newbee

I'll tell ya what - the local drivers around here scare the HELL out of me. They come around some of those turns with a full tri/quad axle truck loaded to the max like they were in a sports car.
