It's the law: No sagging pants in Chicago suburb 1 hour, 21 minutes ago
Be careful if you have saggy pants in the south Chicago suburb of Lynwood. Village leaders have passed an ordinance that would levy $25 fines against anyone showing three inches or more of their underwear in public.
Eugene Williams is the mayor of Lynwood. He says young men walk around town half-dressed, keeping major retailers and economic development away. He calls the new law a hot topic.
The American Civil Liberties Union says the ordinance targets young men of color.
Young adults in the village, like 21-year-old Joe Klomes, say the new law infringes on their personal style. He says leaders should instead spend money on making the area look nicer. |

| Here we go again the race bullsh*t. Ya know what I'm black and I don't wear my pants below my waist, I wear them at my waist. I don't see it being racial cause there are white people who try to act black, I call the wiggers. They wear their pants below their waist, I can't believe this sh*t, talking about they are targeting people of color. Blacks need to grow up and cut all this they are doing it cause I'm black stuff. I'm getting pretty sick and tired of it myself! |

And to think that they call it "whale tail" on a skinny girl...
Anyhow, can it really be considered racial? I mean, I see enough rednecks around here who flash a carpenter's smile everytime they bend over that it would seem an equal opportunity measure to me... |

Provocative dress is nothing new. Kids today "think" they invented something new. Sorry... my generation invented hip hugger jeans.
ahhhhhhh...the good ol' days. 8)
Ours was rebellious AND sexy. :?
We embraced the disgust of the old fogies being offended.
We never would trust anyone over 30. :P

It's only raicial if you WANT it to be. Some people, the ACLU and Jesse Jackson come to mind, make a living out of turning EVERYTHING into a racial issue. |

Jesse really can't say too much right now with his own foot stuck in his mouth after his comments on Obama that slipped into an on-air portion of the talk show. Expect Sharpton to show his ugly mug on this though.
They want to govt. to fix up the neighborhood vs this hip hugger deal? Why don't ya'll fix it up, it's your neighborhood. Govt. can attempt to fix it up but that fix will not be noticed in a year. |

| Reb, I'm 27 in 5 days and it wasn't that long ago for me where that saying was the norm in elementary school. I can remember that saying being used till at least 4th grade which was like 1990. |

Well I'll be 49 in 5 days, I still wear my underwear UNDER my clothes, not hanging out. So apparently now after 4th grade, the underwear goes on the outside? |

| That was the point I was trying to make, the black leaders are turning everything into racial issues and I can't stand it! Honestly I'm all for the ban but then again I'm a young old school cat. I ain't "hip" with the latest clothes or all the new rap that is out. Ya know I get told by people that I'm not "black" and that I'm white. They say they are blacker than me and they are white. I just want to pop them in their mouth but it's not worth it. I didn't grow up listening to rap I grew up listening to blues and r&b (The real stuff not that fake stuff they play today on the rap stations). Most kids thing I'm crazy cause I'm for whoopings in school. I should have been born back in the early days. |
