I like the flight simulator games. That Raptor is a sweet bird. Real nice cockpit, and out flys those MiG's. I was hooked on the Tomcat and the Falcon, but now Raptor rules. Still like the Thunderbolt too.
That's as close as I'll ever get to these.
I held a private pilots license for awhile when I was younger. I started to fly when I was 12. Piper Cub and Gliders...then some Cessna's. My first solo was in my Dad's Champion Citabra.
I still fly once in a while, as I have a few Bro's who maintain their license.
Here is a view of my town.

| I remember building a model of that back in high school or college or something, when it was still an experimental plane. It has taken a very long time to finally get rolled out and in the air. It's an awesome bird, but who are we supposed to dogfight with it? The whole thing has turned out to be kind of a sad boondoggle. |

| I remember when I was taken up for a flight in a Pitts S2B acrobatic airplane. It may not have the power, speed, operating range, etc. of the F22, but I still think even an F22 pilot would be quite challenged to provide for a more fun flight than what the pilot of that Pitts provided. Plus it had the open cockpit, which is so much cooler. |
