What do you truckers listen to on a long trip? Some great classic rock and roll puts me in a good mood on a lonely trip, and it keeps me awake too. haha But I was driving through Texas the other week and the stations down there kept playin ZZ Top. I remember the dudes with the cheap sunglasses and beards and i can't believe i still remembered their songs. I assumed they were goin on a ZZ splurge b/c they kept annoucing a new DVD from them. I found this link http://www.amazon.com/Live-Texas-ZZ-Top/dp/B0018M6J72/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1211997122&sr=8-2 to see what all their craziness was about. Has anyone else heard about this comeback?

I'm a guitarist...and I love to listen to instrumentals.

Top of my list is Joe Satriani. I mainly practice/listen to his stuff.
I've been playing guitar since 1965.

Oh I have more, many of whom you posted, but it was among the first on the playlist. I just didn't want to spam the board with pictures.

those bands aren't even the tip of the ice burg of the stuff i listen to while i'm jamming across the highways, bi-ways, interstates, and surface streets. my tastes range from that to electronic dance music, jazz, old skool rap, old skool, 70's funk, 80s synth-pop, future synth-pop, soft rock, disco, and nerdcore rap.

Haha, there's quite a good variation in what you guys listen to. Barney's Sleepytime Songs seems to be quite the popular choice.
