Does anyone know anything about cruise control systems?
Mine quit right after my air dryer went out, so I figured the problem was water in the switches. I replace thetwo air switches on the "T" coming off the back of the PTV behind the dash that the brake light switch is on, but the cruise still doesn't work.
What else is part of this system that could be at fault? ( I still have to check out the clutch switch, but this is not an air switch and I figured it might be the last thing to check given the problem of water in the system

There should be a switch under the clutch pedal and the brake pedal. You can check both by holding the pedal UP with your foot while using cruise control.
Cruise might not be getting power, or your VSS may not be working correctly.
Check your codes also. |

I still have to check the clutch switch but it isn't an air switch. The brake switch and the parking brake switch are air switches. there is no cruise switch on the brake pedal. (BTW, truck has 12.7 det. if that makes a diff)

| I have a 99 FLD and my cruise will shut-off whenever the tractor brakes are released or I tap the clutch pedal..... But ALSO WHEN I USE THE MAIN BRAKE PEDAL as well, so there has to be something in the way of a applied air regulator or something in there but I honestley dont know. |
