| looking for some info on srt good or bad i know they;re a so called OTR info is for my nephew as he is looking to start out but is not interested in the company i;m with do to to long of a away from home time . he is looking for no more then 21 out then home . he also is not interested in any lease deals as he is just getting him self straightened out not to mention he spends like a woman buying up junk.can he get decent miles at srt and how much nyc east caost do they do ? thanks to everyone who answers and plz tell us about them not about all the OTR carriers we already no some cant stand also he dont have enough time to get hired on with the local ltl deal in this area to small a area people have to die or be related here to land those jobs, :) |

There are some previous posts about SRT, if you want to do a search.
I drove for them, about a year ago. I went through their training program and then went solo.
You drive 48 states and Canada. Personally, never went to NYC, but I have been told that they only do the outskirts of NYC. East coast - yes VA, WV, SC, NC, FL are the ones i saw frequently.
They have only 1 terminal - Texarkana, AR. A number of drop yards around the country, and they also are allowed into most of Covenant's yards.
The only times that I had trouble getting home on time was either when I screwed up or the truck broke down. I usually stayed out a max of 3 weeks. Miles - I never had a problem with them. They gave me the miles I asked for and could handle.
When I left they were just getting new International's in (they are in the process of phasing out the purple trucks). They haul both dry and reefer loads. |

| thank you for the info i personally drive as lease op on prime my self i dont mind when i get home but for some one young like him 6 weeks is to long also we go to all the east coast citys and nyc alot like down town nyc places unload in the street or some small alley really not for him . again thank you for the info |
