Could you tell me what your thoughts are on going to truck driving school through a community college?

They are generally less expensive.
Some are a part of a "national' school eg Sage.
With a community college, some state money may be available.
I can't tell you if they would be better or not. I went to a community college. |

| Community College without question. Normally cheaper, better truck/instructor ratio, better training. Cost is the main issue...save money, yet receive higher quality training.....community college is the best way to go..... |

| If you told us what part of the country you are in there might be a few suggestions on schools. I went through a community college program. Felt good my first year out with the training I received. |

| It is the BEST way to receive training. Usually less expensive, better truck to student ratio, and trainer to student ratio. Would recommend Votech training over company "school." |

| Community College or a Vo-Tech is the way to go. First of all it will be cheaper than a private driving school. Second, your diploma will garner more rspect from prospective employers than one from a CDL mill. Last but not least, they may actually teach you how to drive a truck as opposed to teaching you how to pass a test. |

It is the BEST choice you could make for truck driver training. Not only is it usually cheaper, but the training is better.....if time will allow you to attend a community college, my suggestion is go for it....Good Luck! |
