I never got to drive the Granite, so I don't know how it is from that perspective, but the insides I've seen certainly do look nicer than the RD series. My biggest problem with the RD was a lack of legroom, being 6'2, but, lo and behold, it seemed to me to have just as much as the Peterbilt 378/379 and 357 dumps I'd been in. Either way, it was still a pretty solid truck. Not flashy at all, but very functional.

I only drove that for a short while, before I got the heavy haul job. I drove an 02 International 9900i tri-axle for that, but I'm a bit embarrassed to show photos of it, because I wasn't very well disciplined when it came to washing it, and it looks quite dirty in all the photos I have of it.

I thought this was a cool photo. I took this during the two month period when I worked for Swift, at that truck stop near Vale, CO, just after coming down the Colorado Pass. The load looks small, but it was some 46,000 lbs.

The bent exhaust stack wasn't my doing, by the way.

Let's see the picture of the heavy hauler, don't be ashamed of it being dirty, it's a heavy hauler they are meant to get dirty! 8)
