nice pics Mackman...I need to get a camera to take some pics of our equipmient and some of the interesting jobs we end up doing.
Dad's got some nice looking trucks 8) i wish i had a tarp set up like you've got...the one on the truck i drive now i have to climb up the front of the box, unhook the tarp, throw it out over whatever is in the truck (usually asphalt), climb over the back gate, latch it in place, then jump down and repeat on trailer box  Still beats are old set up though of taking the tarps out of the sidebox, throwing them in the bed, and then having to go "play" in the hot asphalt. Found out what it feels like when the asphalt finds a way through the sole of a boot...NOT GOOD! |

Man you are tarping the old school way. I couldnt even tell you the last time i seen a truck with that type of tarp set-up. Tell your boss to stop being cheap. All i do is hit a button right from the drivers seat. |

After pricing insurance, I was looking at a loose-loose situation for myself, until I had at least a year of experience driving the heavier trucks - so I found myself a pretty cake job driving a dump truck, pulling a street sweeper, and running the sweeper (although last night I was driving the roll-off truck, with a low-side debris dumpster loaded)
I'm gonna start a thread complaining about that truck in just a moment here.

lol...i wish i had a magic button that made my tarps roll out.
yes the boss can tend to be a little on the frugal side, but as soon as business picks up and we need another driver, he is going to by a new truck, or at least newer than the one i have now. A few weeks ago one of our other drivers got fired and i got his truck, went from a 1990 Pete to a 1997 Pete 8) ridin' in style now  |

| How do you like that Granite? I know a few of the small fleet owners were pissed about the RD series being discontinued, and I've heard conflicting reports about the CV713s. Some love them, some hate them. |

It aint that bad of a truck. But as far as a tuff long lasting workhorse the RD has it all over it. The RD was a real mack truck. But i will say one thing i like the inside of my grantie better. |
