Did he just back up on the rails or something to the site? It is just that easy. I did a fair amount of work building pedestrian crossings out of asphalt last year at train stations and as long as you straddle the rail and have sufficient clearance you are fine. Notice I said fine and not calm, even with the railroad telling me the tracks were shut down I was not terribly calm. I will try and dig up a picture later tonight. |

This happened in brandon manitoba, right after the driver picked up a load of frozen beef. So its close to a slaughterhouse.
He came to a T intersection and drove straight through and up the hill, i guess he missed the stop sign somehow! |

They need to change the stops sign to reflect the Pakistan language in Canada as there will be the predominant race in Canada in the future. |

| I have not seen these pics before. This has got to rank somewhere up near the top of sheer stupidity. What's next??? A sheer cliff????? |

Considering it was March 23, 2007... I really don't think it was two years ago. |

Hmm...you think the trailer was loaded?
Seems to me a loaded trailer would have bucked near the middle after climbing the hill (along with the beef sliding out the back doors).
'Course I'm assuming he had some speed going up the hill. If he had her in granny gear, well I take it all back! |

Look at the angle of the embankment. If he'd had it in "granny", he would have done little more than point his nose up. To get that high up with that steep an angle, you MUST take a run at it. His first clue that he was in trouble should have been when the top of the trailer hit the top of his sleeper at the very bottom. I once delivered panels for a house up a 45 degree hill. We had to have a D-9 Cat and a big BACKHOE on steel tracks to pull the trucks up the hill to the top to get them unloaded. No possible way he would have driven up there slowly. (next...) |

| The trailer was empty..no way does it make it up that grade with even a partial load on. |

No. It could have had a load on. Someone said he hit the bottom of the grade at 50mph. But, at that speed, I'm wondering how his back is doing. The G-force with the sudden climb should have pushed his shoulders down to his pelvis. Wouldn't surprise me if his stature isn't about 6 inches shorter than before he tried that stunt. |

I would have to say as steep as the banking is, that if he hit it at 50 that truck would not of gone up and over. I would guess it would of done more plowing and given the truck a huge face lift. But then again who knows?! |
