I would think someone here on CAD has at one time worked in the sign and graphics industry or knows someone who does. Or someone who uses them to put the design for trucking company's logo?

I would like to buy a Vinyl cutter. Mainly for making signs and stickers. Like the stickers car dealers put on the back of their cars and front license plate blanks.

Is there a brand that's considered the best or a brand to avoid? Can large cutters still make the small cuts or is it best to buy a smaller cutter? Or would it be recommended to buy a sticker printer that actually prints the sticker?

Any help appreciated.

Roland cutters are what I used in a sign shop. You can get different sized cutters. We had 3 of them - 12", 24" & 48". The 48" cutter was also a printer and anything but inexpensive. I think it was in the range of $8,000.

You can find cutters fairly inexpensive on ebay.
