|

Hi. 1.5 years OTR, 48 states, no accidents. Experience with reefer but willing to drive van, auto haul, whatever. Looking for local trucking job that will get me home daily/weekends. No problem with overtime. Anyone know of any companies hiring???
Thanks. |

| How about R+L Carriers? They have a terminal in Newark,NJ. Been there multiple times! You can drive daily P+D or linehaul in the night. Weekends off unless you want an extra run. |

They offered me a good linehaul gig about a month or so ago...Then I realized he was talking about his NJ location and I was talking about the Smithon, PA location.
Give em a try.
They mainly haul for Dicks Sporting Goods stores, but I've seen them pulling containers too. |

| dependant on where you are in new jersey i know my job is looking for at least 2 years exp with flatbed working for GAF building supplies. all penske leased fliners. hauling pretarped laods of shingles. heavy freight trucks go 70-75 day shift u can start round 4 done when ur done. usually 1-2 stops a day. lot of ct, and ny lots of baltimiore pickups. my day usually goes come in at 4am drive to baltimore get there round 8 pickup s load that should be preloaded and tarped and take it back to the home yard in bridgwater nj. if the deleivery is on the way they will have u deliver. pretty easy work. only shitty thing right now is slip seating. most trucks are shared with night drivers. i was driving mine alone for a while now i got a night guy sgharing it. it sucks cuz he dosent fuel it nor keep it clean and i get stressed over $&!+ like that. pay is hourly 17.50 18.5 after a year o/t after 8 expect to work 10-14 hour days they had an add on craigslist central jersey for flatbed |

| My company has a terminal in Edison NJ, we have quite a few local drivers that take over freight that we bring in from the midwest and deliver it. give them a call and see if there hiring. Things are slow right now for us but it doesn't hurt to see what they say. www.kreilkamp.com, or our number is (800) 558-1724 ask for Al or Amanda. |

| Thanks for all the replies. I'm starting to think I should get off the road and look for a job so that I can go on interviews and hit some spots in person since a lot of local companies don't have websites, but I'd hate to be out of work with no income for an unknown period of time. This is much harder than I thought it would be. |
