WE...we had to straighten it out! Those damned   American tourists don't know how to negotiate 15 mph curves... Geez nearly got me a motorhome this trip! Had to actually STOP so he could get his rig around the curve, but at least he had the courtesy to wave :D :D :D ...by the riding stable there LNS, can't recall the name of it right now...too damned tired
Actually LNS A Direct truck flopped a couple of weeks back right by Toad River, God only knows how he did it, there was no skid marks, nuthin... tractor was right upside down & the trailer was layin on it's side...worst of it was the guy was fueling right beside me in Nelson earlier that day...
I'll have some more pictures later, am too tired for it right now... 8800 kms in 8 days...
Fast becoming MY highway too Lady...sounds like they're wantin me to do 3 Whitehorse rounders in 12 days...sometimes it just doesn't pay to be good at what you do... Baby's gonna roll over 1/2 million kms tomorrow & I've only had her 18 months, and she only had 10 kms on her when I picked her up back then...no bloody wonder I'm tired all the time! |

That was Allan. Thats what happens when a rookie makes it through his first winter unscathed and gets a little cocky come spring. He almost quit 50 times through the winter, scared shitless, but made it.
How'd he do it? Well the pick up in front of him said he was doing 110 and the truck was catching him. That 60km corner has been the demise of a couple trucks.
The boss called me a couple days ago and I forgot to ask him about it, but I heard last night he was canned. Also had a girl with him? She got pretty banged up. Direct has a no passenger policy. |

Here are some of my last couple of trips to Whitehorse....spring is arriving in the North!
And the most unique rainbow I have seen in a long time:
These curves were kind of interesting this trip:
And one of the many wildlife I happened to see, just had time to snap her picture before she slipped into the trees....caribou or reindeer!

Hey Lady,
Where would be a good place to stop for dinner and a sleep around Teslin or Marsh lake... ?
CVSA week when I have to do a long one... :?
Rounder from Prudhoe Bay to Nisku
A good spot in fairbanks would be good info too, thanks.
Leaving June 1  |

Never been to Fairbanks.
As for Teslin or Marsh Lake, how about.... Teslin or Marsh Lake? Marsh Lake is nothing, but theres a pullout there. Teslin has a store, or a pullout a ways North of it. This ain't not city scape where ya gotta hunt for parkin, you know that. lol
As for dinner, you're outta luck! Better eat in Whitehorse. If your time is alright you can eat at Jakes Corner.
Actually MuckLuck Annies is open, need a decent time there again.

Another good place is Sasquatch Crossing at Mile 147...but better be hungry when you stop there or you'll be takin most of it with you!
I stopped there on the way home last weekend had their BBQ beef on a bun, fries/onion rings & soup with iced tea & coffee to go $13 including tax & I took most of the beef 'n' bun for lunch the next day! |

Had to take some shots of Muncho this week, never seen it so calm, everyone was commenting. And another of the dreaded 30km corner.
