I am changing from 24.5lp to 24.5 tall rubber tonight,will this affect my mpg much? rpms?

Technically it will, more rolling resistance. Whether it's enough that you'd notice is a different issue. Of course, that's assuming you still run in the sweet spot of your motor since the same speed will now be achieved at lower rpm's. You might notice a tenth or two, would be my guess.

You'll show a slight (10%?) increase in MPG if you use your odometer to measure distance. :)

nice try,but my truck orignially came with tall rubber and the speedo was never changed so now I'm back to normal

Nice try? if the truck originally came with tall rubber, then you already know it's original mpg and rpm's and you know the mpg and rpm's with your lp's. So, one more time-- what was your question?
I may not be driving anymore but I will always have those diesel fuel blues.

I bought the truck used,it had lp's on it when I got it the sticker on the door showed it came from the factory with tall rubber which explains why the speedo was off.

I was responding to rank explaining that I wouldn't be gaining his "10%" because the speedo will now be back to correct speed.

my question was more a general one if having taller rubber would cause a loss of mpg's comparred to lp's. 8)
