Zebb's (which has a few locations here in WNY) has great burgers. Homemade buns, fresh ground beef, and they cut their own fries, too (get 'em with gravy). Also, they have fantastic chocolate chip cookies.

I know exactly what your talking about. Right down from Essey Tires..I always used to see tri-axles in there, so I figured it wasn't too bad...
I'm thinking about fishing the river this weekend down by the elizabeth bridge, maybe that'll give me a reason to give it a shot.

In-N-Out, hands down. Unfortunately, only found in CA, NV and NM. There's a little place in Elyria, OH, called Midway Restaurant. Their signature burger is the Oh Boy, and let me tell you, it's a great burger. The last time I was there (10 years or so ago?) it was located on Lake Ave, but not that far off of SR2/I90, SR57, the turnpike (I80) or US6. Worth looking for if you find yourself in the area.

Being a burger lover (almost as much as I am a roller coaster freak), I've eaten burgers in more places than you can shake a stick at.

Fuddruckers is boring. Upscale McDonalds.

Fast food burgers, I'd have to say Good Times

All around burgers, though, goes to a place in Yakima Wa called Miner's.
Actually, I think it's in Union Gap - but you can't tell the difference - the two towns are all mushed together.

Every time I go to WA I stop there - even if it's out of the way - for a burger or 6.

There is an independent burger place in Chattanooga, TN called Nicki's. They are on Cherokee Blvd. They have really good burgers, fries and onion rings. Until recently, they still served Coca Cola's in the recyclable glass bottles. They have other things on the menu, but I like the hamburgers best. This place used to be a drive-in when I was growing up. They have always had a great business. They pretty much have the same menu as they did 40 years ago.

Mike,

When I saw that you had posted in this thread, I knew it would be about Nicki's. I used to layover in Chatt every Tuesday night and my racing buddy and I would always go, he lives in North Chatt.. You're saying they no longer have the small Coke bottles???? I'm disappointed to hear that.

In Nashville, try the Elliston Place Soda Shop or Rotier's, just a few doors down from each other. Killer milk shakes at both also.

Yep Dave,

I was disappointed that they got rid of the bottle cokes and put in a fountain. There is nothing like a bottled coke in the glass bottles. It just has a better taste. Other than the cokes, it is the same place. We ate there about a week or so ago and that is when we found out about the fountain drinks. We ate there a few months ago and they still had the glass bottles. It isn't quite the same without the bottled cokes, but the burgers are still great. 8)

Someone mentioned BBQ, if you ain't in Texas it ain't BBQ.

Fudrucker's an upscale McDonalds? What doesn't "upscale" McDonalds? I bypass truckstops with McDonalds in them.

Fran's in Austin, TX makes the the best old fashion burgers.

You guys have to understand that Coke bottles are made of glass, and we recycle glass because it is very valuable. After all, it is made from sand...

There you go hijacking the thread again, T.L!! But, you're right on this one! Best beef BBQ (is there any other kind?) I ever got was from a little shack near my H.S. in Clarksville, TX! Also, went to the Bentson BBQ one year..... man, that was great!!

[BTW, good to see you on here again.]

Now..... Coke bottles..... the 7 oz ones tasted the best! When I lived in Texas, my Dad's church had a coke machine in the ED bldg. 7 oz cokes dispensed from a "bandalero" ...... you guys remember them?? Here's the best part...... 7 friggin CENTS!!  Took a nickell AND two pennies..... or a dime and gave you 3 pennies change! I don't even think it would take a quarter!

Man.... what I wouldn't GIVE to finish out my days "stuck" in the 60's!! [Even if it meant being stuck in Texas! ]

miner's diner in union gap, washington. that place rocks! the burgers are about 9-12 inches in diameter and are worth every cent.

what's that one place i've heard about where they serve a 20lb burger? if you eat all of it, it's free. i'd like to try my luck with that one.

Golf..not sure what a bandalero coke machine is but I remember as a kid in Northern Indiana walking down to the firestation where they had a coke machine where you lifted the lid and grabbed the bottle by it's top and slid it down to a two lever opening where you would lift it out. Can't remember how much it cost but this would have been in the mid-late '60's.

Had to look Clarksville Tx up on google...dude, that's a small town :)
