| Looking for the best team company as well. No LTL, looking mostly for expedited, air freight, or reefer. Need top miles and top pay ( don't we all want that?). I am in Texas on the North side of Houston. I have 22 yrs experience, partner has 15. |

| Negotiate....Go see some companies and tell them what its going to take to land you. Than get it in writing. |

| What about LandSpan? They're in TX and friends of ours drove for them (they got a government contract which paid better is why they left) and they loved them, said they got great miles etc. Did you look into them? |

| You said no LTL, but if you want top miles and top pay you really might want to reconsider. Plus it is all drop/hook.I run team for LTL, just got in this am with 7200 miles for the truck and $.54/mile. that was for 6 days. |

Some of the best team driving from a compemsation perspective is in LTL land. The equipment at some companies can be junky, but you can earn $65-90k plus.
The team drivers at my current employer (YRC Logistics) are grossing $1300-1500 per week running Mon evening through Sat Morning.
Even if you hire on to a non-LTL company like LandSpan as a team you are going to pull some LTL freight. Drive by any larger Con-Way or FedEx Freight barn and you will see OTR 53's being loaded for the longer hauls between regional break bulks. Pre-Buyout Con-Way was CFIs biggest customer. The joke was that it stood for "Con-Way Freight Inside".
When I worked at Con-Way we loaded 3 OTRs per night out of Reno going east; Two Werners and a CRST. |

Which company is that? Do they hire out of Texas? Owner Operator possibilities? |
