| I am going into the tanker division. Three weeks of school then I'm on the road with a trainer. Anything I should know that the company didn't tell me? thanks |

Yeah, you didn't get hired. You have a conditional job offer. Not that you won't get hired, but you have to pass their school training first. Good luck. |

Congratulations on getting hired! Make sure you tell us all about the experience. I am thinking of bulk driving for Schnieder as well after I finish school.
There are a lot of Schnieder drivers on this forum also:

BTW do they still pay training pay for a few weeks after you get your own truck? They did that to me and I really lost out on some good miles |

| I too got the conditional offer from Schneider. I start STA, in Dallas, on the 24th. Have two days of permits with the class actually starting on th 26th. I will be a system driver, so I am no help with anything on the Bulk side of the house. |

pay very close attention to how the tank is unloaded.. insist that your trainer lets you do it, not just watch, you cant learn it right just by watching, and if you haul anything hazardous WEAR PROTECTION!! no matter what they tell you. ALWAYS wear safety glasses even if it's non hazardous, it only takes a second to lose an eye. |

You've passed the background check and have your TSA letter! Congrats. BTW, you're not hired until after you've passed ALL the tests and issued a tractor and completed a ton of paperwork. BOL
PS What have the bubbas over at pumpkindriver.com advised? |
