I own a 2000 Pete dump truck with a Cat 3126B. It has 460000 miles on it. How often should I service this truck? I've receiced reccomendations ranging from 8000 miles to 12000. Also, should the air filter be changed this often too?

A dump truck should get a complete grease job once a week, engine oil & filter change every 300 engine hours.

At the 300 hour interval also check trans & diff oil levels & hub oil levels on the steer axle & lift axle (if any).

Air filter should be replaced when the service indicator reaches the red area.

Do not "blow out" an air filter, always put in a new one.
