What would be recommended to me to start driving, I got my CDL right at 6 months ago, and decided to go another route. But things have changed and want to drive.

better start checking round NOW for a company to start with run don't walk to the phone.

some companys will not take you if you have been out of school for 30 days and havn't been driving or they will want you to go to school again.

the longer you wait the harder it will be for you to find a starter company to go with.

There is a few Co's U might contact Schneider is ONE they have additional training & U GO OUT WITH A TRAINER. the prior answer to Ur question is right, if U want to drive. GO FOR It, and soon, U might contact MILLIS TRansfer Too. But do something, if this IS what U want to do ! :?:

You might have to do a refresher. Call the starter schools and see if you can go to orientation. Swift, werner, schnider and Millis will take you but you'll have a 1yr contract. If there is a school in your area that will let you practice your manuvers on the weekend for cash take them up just to get back into the swing of things while you wait for pre hires from starter companies. You could also look into class B work, construction work now that spring is arriving. Construction might workout well because you can do that job for a few months then contact otr companies. The time off might not hurt as much because by the time you contact them your using your cdl and they will send you out with a trainer anyway. If all else fails look at becoming a yard jockey it will give you some practice nightly then start calling people.Best Of Luck
