| Can anyone shed some light on Hunt's intermodel fleet especially out of Portland, OR? Got some basic info on the job but would like to know more. |

| can't be much different...a rail yard or dock setting will be the same. The only difference I can see is that you will have more time driving in the sun than I will up here in Portland with all this dratted rain... |

| When I was working for JB, I never had many people complian about Intermodal out of portland. Unless they have changed it since I left, you will spend the majority of time running between Hermiston, Portland and the Seattle areas. Also again, unless they changed it up since ive been there, you will not get home everyday, but quite a few times during the week. |

Sheepdancer...I am so glad you surfaced on my topic. The run that I was offered was to cover WA, OR, some ID and some MT. The hangup has been getting my Hazmat (finger prints are too worn so my background check is having to go by name). So basically I have lost my chance at the run.
The other run they are offering to me comes out of the South Gate, CA dispatch and runs (as they have it listed) CA, AZ, NV,WA,OR and occasionally UT and NM. Have no idea how that would run out of the Portland area. Do you know how it would run? I really don't want to run CA.
I want to learn intermodal. I am also thinking about looking into Swift  since they have a lot o intermodal in the area. Any suggestions since you recruit for several companies? I would like to stay in the PNW area because of a family situation. |
