|
|
I was having to decide between Roehl and Stevens and went with Roehl. I want to get into flatbeds and heard some of the turn around times for Stevens is brutal. I've also heard bad a bout Roehl but nothing too significant.
The only thing I'm concerned with is the miles. I went national with Roehl and was just wondering if anybody knows if I will always have something to haul, if I'll be sitting a lot waiting for a haul. Just some insight for a newbie. Thanks |

| I left the van division of Roehl in January. I remember seeing a few flatbed trucks attached to vans because the housing/building materials were slow. Might be picking up now that it is spring time. Don't be afraid to try curtain side (taut liners) if you are offered the chance. Flat bedding without having to lift heavy tarps. |

You've already admitted you're a Radio Rambo. I can see that you're an Internet Rambo at that... |

obviously you don't comprehend what you read very well. A "radio Rambo" doesn't tell drivers where he's at - I will, and you wont do sht about it. |

Rohel was a very good outfit when I worked for them, but that was a few years ago now so I can't speak to how they are operating these days. With them, like Soledad said, you have the benefit of pulling van or curtainside freight if the flatbed side of things gets slow. Being willing to pull a different trailer will keep you rolling when others are sitting.
Best of luck to you! |

| MikeC...one thing I forgot to tell you about Roehl's curtain side division. You have to have 6 months of flat bed experience before you can go into that division. |
