| When you say those include trailers, do you mean trailer payments? |

| My cpm is $2.88 including my salary. Without salary it is $1.63. Keep in mind this is based on local work, with low mileage |

ROTFLMAO
Now that's funny. What are running your refer on, Burger King used oil? What about maintenance, depreciation, insurance, plates, IFTA, heavy road tax, blah blah blah.
Sounds like your the one that does not know how to run a business.
Lets see a breakdown. The only way I can see you running a truck for that is if your siphoning fuel out of the trucks next to you. |

| BigD, do those figure include driver compensation? And I assume you're asking about purely operating costs, so not including any ROI, right? I'll get mine in awhile. |

| Estimated $0.95 a mile. Tractor only, lease to company. Including everything, before any wages, or profit. |

If your an owner operator, your CPM has to reflect ALL operating cost, both fixed and variable. Fixed includes truck/trailer payements, all licences/permits/running rights, insurance, cell/wireless computer costs and accounting services. Variables include fuel, repair, maintenance, tires, tolls, safety checks, fuel taxes and dead head miles.
I recently did a spreadsheet for a friend of mine who just bought his truck and trailer and runs under his own authority. His CPM, figured at our higher cost fuel in Ontario (approximately $4.37/U.S. gallon) is $1.23, without driver compensation.
When you run all the numbers, it's pretty obvious that fuel - and fuel mileage - are two of the biggest components to controlling your costs. |

| I did not include salary and ROI. Both trailers are paid for. |
