| Anyone know much about Selland Auto Transport? I talked to a driver yesterday, and he had nothing but good things to say. Sounds like they haul nothing but new cars. Which sounds great because I hated auctions. :x I'm really thinking hard about getting back into car hauling. |

| Well I'm curious on how it is loading new vehicles, I mean as far as railyards etc. I would be looking for a load of cars in auctions for a full day when I was car hauling before. Is S&S a part of Selland? How do most drivers like Selland as apposed to other co's? |

It is so much eaiser. I knew you would get tired of that AA bulls@#$. It's a much smoother operation at the ports or railheads. Your cars are in the correct bays and will most likely start. They will for the most part be grouped in the same general area.
Yes, S&S is part of selland. |

Right on! Yes, I did hate the AA's. And even worse was the salvage/junk cars to the mexican border for $ down. I had to stop every 200 miles just to make sure hoods/fenders/wheels etc wern't flying off! Selland says they don't haul junk, or pov's. I hated pov's with a passion. Some rich biaotch wouldn't meet me in a nice big parking lot, so I had to drive to her cul de sac and spent half an hour trying to back out. Well, I'm applying for Selland this week, but if I get hired, It'll have to be at least a month because I'm starting to build a garage. |

| Good deal....that company you started with a couple of years back was ripping you off. You will like delivering to the dealerships. Good luck. |

Well here's an update. I called Selland two days ago, and I'm approved for hire. But, they're waiting for new trucks so that they can move the senior guys into them. Then I could get a used one. He told me to hold out for awhile. But really never gave me a set amount of time. Sysco is really shafting me right now. And the union isn't doing jack rabbit to help me. Basically I bid on a different route. One that is just driving from terminal to terminal hauling doubles. That lasted three weeks and was great. But they took me off and I'm back to delivering. And it's not set, whatever they feel like having me do.
:x
I can't wait for Selland to call. |
