Ofcoarse all of you guys have seen it all but still , it just blows me away how stupid some drivers are. Here is a small example . I was driving down Hwy 231 crossing I - 40 .I was in the left lane moving slow , about 20
mph . There is one more lane to my left , but it is for turning . I had been in my lane for a good two miles , with no change. When I got thru the red light at or near the Pilot a car in the right lane came barrelling up beside me , well her lane run out and I guess she thought she could make it past me. I was only going about 20 but never the less she just about ran into me or off the road . I went on down the road and I then got in the middle (turning lane) so I could make a left turn onto Stumpy lane which is where Copart is located. Well right in the middle of where I need to turn there was a guy sitting in his ford ranger talking on his cell phone . Obviously he was headed back toward I 40 and decided to pull over in an INTERSECTION and make or recieve a call. I came to a stop and waited for about 10 seconds, he had no intention of moving so I gently blew my air horn , then he decided to move. I glanced at all of my mirrors , while I looked at the right side I noticed what I believed was the woman who had moments before tried to run into me ,sitting on the right side of the same intersection looking back behind me . Now I am thinking . what the heck is she doing. I finally made my turn and didnt look back . I kept thinking the woman might just be pissed at me for not letting her go around me when infact I could not have done so even if I wanted to so to heck with her. Finally , I dropped the cars and headed back up 231 , about 6 or 7 miles north of Lebanon I was climbing a a small hill and my speed was around 48 . I noticed a silver ford van behind me and a Walbert Co 18 wheeler behind him . Both were on my
tail . I was going to be polite and find a place to pull over but about the time I crested the hill I picked up speed and here comes that 18 wheeler flying up beside me . As I said I picked up a little more speed and tried to slow down but I had this van right on my tail ( couldnt see his grill he was so close ) so I genlty slowed so the 18 wheeler could get in . He barely made it , cars were coming and he missed one by a couple of seconds. BTW it was a no passing lane at the time as well.

That would make the driver IDIOT of the year. Too bad there wasn't a DOT officer there to give that moron a good ticket for an illegal pass. A lot of idiots are in that area.

I am glad you see it that way . My truck is pretty slow on hills especially where there are hills one right after the other , not giving me a chance to get up to speed . On three ocassions I had trucks behind me in the past two weeks and announced over the CB that I would pull over where I could and let them pass. Each time those Drivers were grateful and thanked me . On this ocassion I really didnt have time to radio the truck behind me nor a place to pullover and never thought he would pass me where we were.

Well, I really don't know, all I saw was WALBERT written across the top of the cab. I have seen them quite often around that area .

I just left WALBERT. Started out as a company driver and went to an owner operator. I can say the way they push their drivers, I wouldn't be surprised to have one do somethign as stupid as that! The trcks with WALBERT written across the top are company trucks. They expect you to run 24/7 day and night and getting rest isn't their problem..so just to answer your question....not an Owner Op!

flood, you are right and the crazy thing is besides the dangers of passing on some of those small hills is that the TN Highway patrol work that stretch quite a bit . About every other trip I see one sitting at that 4 way stop about 12 miles north of Lebanon.

Tonight , I came up thru there and there was a guy in front of me and I will bet a weeks worth of fuel he ws drunk. He crossed the center line at least a dozen times in a span of 5 or so miles . I called on the CB to see if there was any patrols around but ofcoarse there was none. GO FIGURE!

I was coming north out of ripley ms on friday on rt. 15 . Was going around 65 in a 55 , and this shaw truck was riding on my @ss. Then he decides to pass me, while passing swerves into my lane while he is next to me, then comes back in front of me about 1 foot from my front bumper no signal or nothing. There was a 4 wheeler coming the other way also which he barley missed. Not to mention it was raining pretty hard. Dont see what the huge rush was, 5 miles later i pulled up behind him at the next light.

Then what would me and Teal95KW do? I'd suspend everone's over 30

For real though, I'd suspend everone with a Honda Civic with a fart can muffler, windshield washer light and cheap rims because those give me the most trouble tailgating and cutting me off.
