Hmm, $349 plus TTL for a lazy device! Sounds like a blown engine waiting to happen!

A daily check manual (eyeball on the stick) of the oil level and condition and regular oil analysis during scheduled PM's sounds like a much better idea!

yea, not real impressed with the brochure! I know technology is advancing in many fields, but, a device that small, and analysis conducted by 2 electrodes - that can 24/7 oil analysis! Hmm, need to find out more!

The brochure states it was developed out of need by the U.S. Military to tell it when to change the oil in a fighter jet???? Uhhh, the maintenance on those birds is on a very strict schedule, and fluids are changed whether they need it or not! So I do see some problem with the statement! I can just see a FA-18 on a mission, and the dipstick tells the pilot he is due for an oil change, oops, 35,000 ft and near Mach 2 - take it to the shop

Who knows, it may be the next big thing! Did not see any endorsments by the big engine manufacturers though?
