That's part of it. The old shows were "entertaining" and usually had a "moral" to them. They were "feel good" shows that didn't leave you checking all the locks on your doors and windows! |

You hit the "nail on the head" right there, Reb. :D
In order to have shows with "morals" we need a society that has morals. Imagine a "Leave it to Beaver" or "Father Knows Best" type show today. Couldnt happen. |

No way Drew10..........you'd have the Beaver knocking up Violet Rutherford, Wally and Eddy would be gay,Lumpy a serial killer,Ward a drunk,June a tramp,Whitey a skinhead,Larry a loan shark........so on and so forth.
It's a sick world we live in nowadays. |

Took me a minute, but yeah. It still looks funny to me. I just didn't realize that there were so many "important" people walking around that can't be out of touch for a single freakin' minute! |

| I was born in 1990, I wish I was born much much earlier when music was music, I can't stand the music of today even though I still listen to it! I remember hearing stories of people helping everyone and the good old times everyone had. It sure makes me wish I was born back then! I get tired of hearing all this talk about saving the environment and global warming. I don't believe in any of it! No one back in the day cared about saving the environment for us whenever they was dumping toxic's into the lakes so why should we? What really ticks me off is that it was ok to whoop your kids back in the day, but now even barely hitting your child is child abuse! That really makes me mad, what is the world coming to? |
