Now this looks like the GPS you've all been searching for! Does anyone out there have this one? if so, how does it work for you? thanks---
WorldNav Truck Routing 3.5 GPS - $399
Easy to use - based on familiar portable navigation software, and yet the
commercial driver can rely on the routing as it takes into account commercial
truck restrictions such as bridge heights and clearances, load limits, one-way
road designations, left-hand and dangerous turn restrictions, and allowances.
The restrictions are based on semi-trailers, 13'6'' height, 80,000 lb weight,
48' and 53'/102'' length, and 96'' width restrictions.

I just got my 7 inch GPS for truck drivers from TeleType about 1 month ago. The unit is working well for me and the company has good attitude. I called them for support on how to increase the brightness of the unit and the first person that answered the phone new how to help me. That is unusual for many companies.
One thing I like about the unit is it shows on the screen all the roads that are restricted for my size of the truck. |

| Cool, thanks for the info. Please keep us informed on the performance of this unit. I'd like to know if you're still happy with it after a few more weeks. |

I am happy so far with the unit. I purhcase from TeleType recetly another GPS support stand (windsheld mount) and power adaptor and now I use it in my car as well.
I added external speakers to my GPS unit and now I get nice stereo sound coming out.
Routes could be probably better but I never ended up on a route restricted for trucks. I guess that was my main reason for purchasing the unit. So I would recommend this unit. |
