I want to install more of the factory gauges in my truck. 1996 International.
I want to install oil temp, trans temp, front & rear rear end temps and air application.
All of these gauges except for the air application are all electronic. I took the gauge panels apart, the gauges plug directly into the circuit board. There are marked places for each of these guages. But following the circuits in the board to the connecting plug the wiring is not there for these gauges.
I realize that I will have to put the sending units and probes in the truck but where do the wires go from the? Do they go from the plug in the back of the circuit board to the ECM.
I was hoping the the wiring would be there and I would just have to put the guages and sending units in.
Any IH guage experience out there???
Thanks Mike |

Wish I had some good advice for you on this,..my dash has about 7 blanks on it, and when one of my IH gauges craps out,.....I put an aftermarket gauge in a diff. location and put the black cap over the old broken gauge.
Your truck is a lot newer than mine,...I would say that if your year truck came with all those options for bells and whistles,...there should be a connector somewhere in your harness to plug it in.
Call up IH give them your last 8 of the VIN and have them fax a copy of the wire harness, and your build sheet...they did it for my old beast. |

The oil temp sender can be connected to the ecm. Then install gauge head in the cluster. Then program the input.
trans temp, front & rear rear end temps and air application.
97% sure these are each just a single ground connection at the IPC connector.
