Hello Truckers!

I am writing to you requesting trucking stories for a book I am writing. This book is to be similar to the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. I am writing on this thread because so far I only have trucking stories by men. I would like to add some from women.

These stories can be funny, sad, happy, glad, exciting, or frightening. What I am looking for is your experiences on the road.

Don't worry that you can't write. I just need your story. It's my job to make it readable for the general public.

Any and all stories will be welcome.

If you want to check me out, see that I am legit, please visit my website at www.deborahbouziden.com. I should also tell you my dad and mom are truck drivers. My dad's been driving for over 35 years.

Thank you in advance for any and all help you can give me.

Sincerely,
Deborah Bouziden

Just make sure you give credit where credit is due. Not saying it's an issue, but we have had problems in the past with writers poaching stories from this board without giving credit to the original writer.

You know there's 8 million Nigerian scammers flocking to this site right now in order to hit that account number. Thanks Hog. You have just crashed the server and quite possibly destroyed western civilization. I won't bother billing you...I'll take it out of your account above.

Sorry I've not been on since my original post. My daughter fell off a step and broke her ankle. While the orthopedic specialist was trying to decide what he wanted to do with it (operate or cast) , she couldn't be on it. So you know who became her slave; ME.

To alleviate worries and fears, I will be giving credit where credit is due in regard to the stories. I will have to have those persons whose stories I use email me privately, so I can get their real names, company they drive for, etc.

My email address is: DBouziden@hotmail.com. Maybe this would be a better way to collect the stories anyway. I am having a dickens of a time navigating the Board. I was lucky to stumble across this thread since it's been so long that i'd been back on. I've totally lost one thread, so....

My website for those who would like to investigate me before sending me their story is www.deborahbouziden.com.

I am going to try to stay on top of this now. I hope there are no more catastrophies, however, tomorrow night my ten-month-old grandbaby will be spending the night so I may not get on.

So go ahead and email me or post here, whichever is more convenient.

Thanks again.

Deborah

I remember this story. How did you ever come out after that 5000 foot fall? I was really scared when that 10,000 pound rock fell on top of you.

I've fallen further, but dang it...it does add up.
I was so dazed...I saw nothing but Chinese for a week.

Ahhh..yeah..that rock..
..imagine sounding like a harmonica with every step.
I complained a lot to my Boss at Acme that day.
