It didn't used to be so bad but now that Fox has gotten thier way they start the damn race around 2:30-3 and it's pretty damn cold when they finish. |

The NASCAR teams tested at Daytona earlier this year. The top six speeds came for those drivers testing in the 2nd week [Jan 14-16] with #88B-Earnhardt Jr. being the fastest in a Chevy at 185.820mph, then #22B-Blaney, #55-Waltrip, #83A-Vickers and #44A-Jarrett all four in Toyota's]. #48A-Johnson was the fastest from the first week at 184.782 [7th overall]. Slowest were #57A-Benning at 176.856 and #08A-Long at 178.536. |

Me neither. Other than March Madness, there are no good sports on until August again.

The Rolex 24 is first off next Saturday, Jan 26th
ARCA 200 and then Bud Shootout to follow is Feb. 9th
Bud Pole Qualifying is Sunday Feb. 10th
Duels at Daytona on Thursday Feb. 14th
Truck Race Friday
Busch Race Saturday
500 on Feb. 17th
Mike, I'm with you about the late start times, total joke. I sure miss the 1pm green flags these days. I'm hearing next year's schedule could be in for major changes. France and the networks want more night races and they want them yesterday. Fine with me as long as they run them on Saturday nights and not Sunday afternoon/evening, expept for the one's that have a major holiday on Monday, ie the Coke 600 with Memorial Day and the Labor Day weekend at California. I may miss the end of the 500 this year if they start too late and get a red flag for the Big One. Last year's race ended and 20 minutes later I was in bed so I could be at work the next morning at 5 am. |
