It seems to me whenever I meet men that a majority of them are interested in "certain parts of the female anatomy". It's always a breath of fresh air when a guy says I like someone for their personality or the whole person.
Frankly, I don't look at men in "parts". I think personally that is a "male thing" to break someone down by "parts of the anatomy". I usually hear women say things like, "he's got a great smile", "he has a wonderful personality", "he's short" or "he's tall". Rarely do I hear women stipulate that he must have certain features that appeal to her.
I definitely have preferences but nothing to do with "parts of the male anatomy". It's about personality, sense of humor and I usually like tall or heavier men. Although, there is someone on the board who is average height and weight whom/who I am very close to, I've been talking to for probably acouple months. He knows whom/who I am talking about!
O.K. ladies what's your preference, is it parts or the total package? :) 8) :roll: |

| Total package... the older i get the more i realise.. its not about the looks so much but the atitude, personality (having one is always so refreshing), and whether or not they are a decent human being. Now i'm not discounting looks altogether cus tall (6' or taller), dark hair, a fit body and a sexy smile are definitely pluses in my book... but if Mr. TallDarknHandsome is a total jerk then no amount of "hottie-ness" can make up for the ugly in his soul. |

Roadhog: You are just too funny Honey!!! I swear that's what I hear from men all the time is it's all about parts.
You made me laugh as usual. I'm getting absolutely nothing done but playing on C.A.D. I'm supposed to be getting ready to go over to my cousin's for Christmas.
Little does anyone know that I'm playing on C.A.D. I'm sure they'd all be so understanding why I'm not there yet if they knew. HA-HA!!! Well it's nice not having to be responsible for a change and worrying about the rig. I'm glad my biggest responsibility today is wrapping, cooking, cleaning and making it across Denver in the snow storm. Maybe I should get the chains out-NOT!!!

Kahlana: I have been remiss and haven't welcomed you aboard yet. Glad to see another female has arrived in our midst!!! Welcome aboard and happy posting.
Thanks for your response. I too concur about looks. I had a drop dead gorgeous husband who was very narcissistic and it was ONLY ABOUT HIMSELF. I agree that personality ranks up there big time. Particularly a sense of humor. There's a couple of guys on the board that make me laugh everytime I see their posts. They know who there are!!!
Remember when we're old and sitting in our rocking chairs looks don't mean squat, it will be wonderful to have a partner with a sense of humor whom/who can converse on several different topis. By then we probably won't care what we did for professions but we will be interested in what keeps us "active and thinking about the future." :) 8) :roll: |

Although, I guess it would be a toss up where you would start it since you're many states apart.

Personally, I prefer a man with the same interests as me, same ideals, morals, goals, etc.
Looks aren't important. My hubby of 10 years, to me, is the best looking guy on the planet, but to most he looks the rough, tough rig pig (the kind you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley), BUT he cleans up real good! :lol:
We have the same goals, same ideas on life, etc. We are also best friends, we can talk about literally everything! When you get to be our age (nearly 50), that's really important!
He didn't drive a truck when we met over 20 years ago, but he admired my drive & ambition & didn't feel the need to compete with me nor was he intimidated by me (so many are :cry: :cry: ). He operated heavy equipment back then & did until he decided it was time for him to quit working on the rigs (he wasn't home alot) & we bought a second truck last May. We still don't get super amounts of time, but when we do we make the most of it.
Here's a pic my daughter took of us last summer...it's my favorite of all :D :D
