Have 6 of these, they run and drive, but have been sitting for years. Asking 1700 to 2300 depending on the unit. All are retired from Golden Gate Transit Authority in San Francisco. They are transits, that have been optioned to be like suburbans, with overhead luggage racks, raised platforms, (vs the isleway), one door, highback seats that recline 35 degrees, air conditioning, larger 110 gallon fuel tank,VS-2 3-speed automatic Allison transmissions that lock at about 46mph, and full driver instrumentation. No power steering. Detroit 8V-71 diesel powered.
Location is Clarksburg California, near Sacramento.

Those remind me of the movie Speed (same looking bus, just different color). Buy one, take one to a local highschool, embrass the heck out of your kid. Dad...why are you driving that thing. Or...I don't know him honestly!!!!!! haha.
Glad to hear you sold them though =D. |

RF, I had to drive one across Sacramento a while ago, and people at bus stops were waving at me to stop, and pick them up. At a stoplight, two elder women just pulled the door open and stepped up, and I had a hard time explaining that Im not the bus they needed. Would have taken them down the road a few blocks, but the liability is just too great.
Not sure they even understood what was going on.
We are keeping one bus for a while, just to have one. Fun to bomb around in occasionally. |
