Not sure this goes with this thread but I don't want to start a new one. So here it goes. I realize it is Christmas and Merry and Joy. I am polite in the stores and smile blah blah blah. But if you stare at me and I can feel you staring Man that pisses me off.

Sorry dude, and I may regret ignoring this older guy trying to talk to me, he will probably turn out to be from my Church and think I am not a good witness. But I do not talk to strange men in the parking lot of a Walgreens. I am in a good mood till stranger yell out from car whats the matter, why don't you smile. Truth I was smiling till I felt weirdo staring at me. Shopping alone with your husband far far away sucks I feel so protected when he is around.

Ok so moving on I went and did more Christmas Shopping, hence the walgreens trip( stocking stuffers). Then went to out doors store and bought husband's inversion table, and my elipticle trainer. I have been shopping alittle bit every day and wrapping and shopping again. The store I went to was very helpful and I am proud to say the glider thinggy is kickin my butt.

I just thought I would add some ideas for moms...well should they need them.

Board games are great and with this tech age and all, I feel that I couldn't beat my kids on their games but with board games of any kind I kick butt.

Connect Four I am undefeated.

Beat all my kids at Sorry... Man I love that game :D

Lost to the oldest in Uno Attack, fairly new but I am getting it.

Trouble is also an oldie but goodie.

Mothers can relate.

So my seven year old (my baby) say to me" Mom whats a period"

I say " what"

He says" they keep talking about it, They said that girl missed school cause she got her period?"" what is it"

Damn those commercials. Between the commercials for STD medication " hello I have herpes and I dont"

" Mom whats herpes" and now " whats a period"

I am going to through the damn TV away. No they don't watch that much but it is the commercials that are getting worse than the shows.

That defining moment in a mothers life...

When you open you mouth to yell at your kid and suddenly realize... you're turning into your mother!

You know, that 1 thing your Mom always said that made yours eyes roll and you swore you would never say to your kids. Things like

"As long as you're living under my roof..."
"If everyone jumped off a bridge would you want to do that too..."
"Because I said So..."

What was yours?

I said them all.

Being a mother has had me eating my words over and over, apologising like crazy to my own mom.

But I will say that I have learned from a lot of her mistakes and though she doesn't like to hear she made mistakes she appreciates that her mistakes weren't for nothing.

My mom and I don't always get along or see eye to eye but I know that I make her proud and don't embarrass her.

I am the daughter that helps her to calm down, laugh at stuff, and encourages her when she is having a bad day.

I am sure I sound alot like my mom
they only thing that I refuse to do ilike her is make excuses , I own my mistakes, I can't stand excuses and so if I did it I say it.
Blaming it on PMS ,bad day or anything is just and excuse,

The bottom line is I did it then I own it and say I'm sorry and that is all one should say.

I came to the realization one day, that I too was sounding like my mom. My brother laughed at me.

My youngest sister called me one day crying. When I asked her what was wrong she told me that while she was arguing with her teenage son.."I opened my mouth and Mom came out!" I cracked up!
